Anne Lemaitre was born around 1618 in the parish of Saint-Remi in Dieppe (archdiocses of Rouen) Normandy. She married Louis LeRoy on April 27, 1938 in the same place as her birth.
About a year after her marriage she gave birth to her only child Nicolas who was baptised on May 25, 1639 in Saint-Remi.
There is no record when Louis, her husband dies but it must be before 1661 since that is the year Anne leaves for Quebec.Anne traveled to Quebec with her son Nicolas and his family in 1661.
She remarries in Quebec on November 7, 1663 to Adrien Blanquet. She is listed in the record as the widow of Louis LeRoy from St-Remy de Dieppe.
